F3000 starts:

6 (1990-1991)

Moved into the British Touring Car Championship shortly after Formula 3000 and became a legend there, winning the title in 1997 and 2000. He then became one of the top drivers in the World Touring Car Championship. He then turned up in British Rallycross after a spell in the TCR International Series. This followed a time as a driver coach to racer Warren Scott, when he couldn't secure a full-time seat in the BTCC in 2015, after returning to the series in 2014. Alain is also a regular historic racer. Now has homes in Switzerland and Scotland but is retired as a driver.
