Wealthy businessman who mainly raced locally and in hillclimbs. Based in Basle, Albert started racing shortly after World War Two, buying an Alfa Romeo BC-2300 and raced in club and support races before he then bought a Jaguar XK120 and proved capable in the higher profile races in his homeland, including taking a class win in the 1951 Prix de Berne. He hired a HWM-Alta for his home Grand Prix in 1953 before carrying on in hillclimbs for a few more years.
