Last raced in 2002, in selected SCCA events. Long time based in Texas, he now lives in Kansas. Still follows the sport, but his main enjoyment now comes from flying planes. May came to prominence by winning the US Formula Ford 2000 title in 1996, beating the likes of Sam Schmidt and Jason Bright, plus he also won the Formula Continental SCCA Championship in 1994. However, his 1997 IRL attempt was as far as his career essentially got.
