Came from CART, where he was adept, with 5 points in 29 races, to Formula 3000 but it was a disaster. Arnd then raced in touring cars, karts and ASCAR. For many years, Arnd was a tyre development engineer for Continental Tyres and a car engineer, but now works for Porsche's head office as a project manager; not only on tyre development but on e-cars. Meier joined Porsche in 2010. Arnd came 2nd in the 1996 German Formula 3 title, ahead of Nick Heidfeld. Arnd still raced until relatively recently; in 2019, he competed in the OCR Series and he has also been in the BMW Challenge events.
