Swiss racer about whom little is known biographically. Jans raced for the Swiss Automobile Racing Club's March-BMW in conjuction with Horag Racing, but lack of finance saw him race only occasionally, running either in the midfield or near the back. After 1984, he appears to have left the sport completely. His rise into Formula 2 from a season of Formula Ford 1600 was possibly too large a leap to do himself justice. He is still alive and works in business technology, running his own firm near his place of birth. He was often based near Wolfhalden. His younger brother Thomas also raced.
