Son of the late Bill and father of the late Billy. For many years Bill lived in Indiana before moving back to California a few years before his death, largely due to declining health. Raced in the 'Heroes of Indy' race in the mid 2000's, but otherwise, his racing links were confined to memorial functions for his father and son, though he appeared often at historic events. Billy didn't have as much success as his father, but that does him an injustice as he was a winner in modified, sprint and midget cars and also won the 1966 Bay Cities Racing Association Midget Championship. He also won and Indycar race at Michigan - the Michigan Twin 125 event - in 1973. He retired in 1982 to take up running his haulage company full-time.
