One of the four brothers who founded Maserati, and then OSCA, Bindo became a mechanic at Isotta-Fraschini, where he joined brother Ettore. Bindo was involved, somewhat loosely in the founding of Maserati, not joining them until 1932, as Maserati manager, after the death of elder brother Alfieri, from Isotta-Fraschini, long after their first spark plug and car had been manufactured. Bindo also raced, albeit very rarely and appeared at the Mille Migila in 1927.
