Still alive. Bob owned his own mortuary in Wickenburg, Arizona, but sold it in 2005 and is now retired. Bob will always primarily be remembered as a sprint car driver with particular success in the late 1980's and early 1990's. He also competed in midget cars. Frey did particularly well at the Little 500 race held at Anderson Speedway in Indiana. He won in 1980 and then for four years in a row between 1987 and 1990. His brief and intermittent dips in and out of CART, however, were largely without success. Frey wound down his racing activities after 1993 to concentrate on his business.
