Although officially retired, Carlo still likes to work in his workshop in Bresso, tuning and preparing cars, especially sportscars. Drove touring cars for years and won the 1979 European Touring Car Championship. Carlo began racing as long ago as 1953 and when the ETCC began its inaugural season in 1963, Facetti was already a proven touring car driver, and he took a win that year. Facetti also raced for many years in sportscars and was the Autodelta test driver for some years. Carlo carried on racing until the mid-1990's before retiring. Carlo was the son of Piero Facetti, who also raced and finished fourth at the Mille Miglia in 1947. Facetti also ran Achille Motors with Martino Finotto.
