The first Formula 3000 champion, Danner is still driving, although largely in historic events now rather than touring cars, in which he drove for years. Having said that, he appeared in F3000 Italia in 2005, as a warm up for the GP Masters in which he raced in 2005 and 2006 and also raced in Asian Speedcars in 2008 and in 2014, became a sometime test driver for the Formula E series. In 2018, now over sixty years of age, he even competed in the GT4 endurance series. He stays involved though as a driving instructor. Also works as a TV commentator and broadcaster and also works as a journalist. Previously, Christian was also involved in motorsport administration.
