Christophe has been very successful ever since Formula 3000. Won the French Porsche Carrera Cup title in 1996 and 2000, then moved into GT racing. In 2000, he won the FIA GT NGT championship and won the FIA GT championship in both 2001 and 2002 and for 15 years was one of the top drivers in the category. As well as endurance events, Bouchut raced in French touring cars. In 2015, he moved away from sportscars and into stock cars, and the NASCAR Whelen Euroseries. He took a break in 2016 to concentrate on running his four businesses, but still raced in 2018 and 2019 in the NASCAR Whelen Series. He is still in the series but as sporting director of the DF1 Racing team. He returned to racing again in 2022 in long-distance endurance events.
