Son of Derek, American born and bred, Conor was born just after Derek's CART career finished, but the racing bug was passed down as Conor started karting when he was 10. Daly then went up the racing ranks like so many others - including Star Mazda and Indy Lights, before making a more unconventional switch, moving into GP3. Since then, Conor has been in both GP2 in Europe and has also raced Stateside, including the 2013 Indianapolis 500. In 2017, he again appeared at the Indianapolis 500 and the Indycar Championship and in 2018, had to settle for just the Indianapolis 500. In 2019, he started to race in midget cars more often, but also had sportscar drives as well as an Indy return. In 2023, it will be more of the same but with a more regular Indycar drive, as well as NASCAR and the Nitrocross series. He continues with Nitrocross in 2024 but also has selected drives in other series.
