Primarily a sprint car driver, who raced through most of the '70's. Also competed in desert racing. Died, after a long illness, in 2014. Darrell started racing in the 1950's in modified cars, before making his name in sprint cars. As well as cars, Dockery also raced flat-bottomed K boats for a while. In 2013, Dockery was inducted into the Arizona Motorsports Hall of Fame. Until illness, he remained linked to the sport through various racing associations.
