Primarily, David was a long-time driver in Australian touring cars, who had two brief spells in America - both his short spell in the Champ Car World Series, but also in US Formula Ford 2000, Formula Atlantic and Grand-Am between 1998-2000. Continued to race in the V8 touring car series until 2012, but stopped at the end of the year. He was influenced by a massive crash at Bathurst in 2011, when his car then subsequently caught fire rapidly - David survived with no burns or injuries but with a young family to support, his focus went elsewhere. He now runs a blinds and awning business with his wife, called Enhance.
