Now retired from racing, and has since gone into the commercial real estate business. Kudrave works closely with businesses to develop corporate real estate options for the large CBRE firm. David won an award as the highest-selling sales professional in his first year of real estate. Kudrave is also, through his role, involved in CBRE's aerospace and defence arms of the business. As a racer, Kudrave often had to market himself to raise funds to race, as despite a very promising start in the CART series in 1993 (including finishing eighth at Phoenix in only his second race), his top-flight US open-wheel career stalled in early 1994. Phoenix proved a happy track for David as it was where he finished the highest in his IRL spell, finishing tenth there in 1996.
