Champ Car Atlantic graduate, who had a one-off race in Champ Car in 2006 and then a couple of races in 2007. Now, after a spell in Atlantic, he then mainly made his name in sportscars, including Grand-Am and ALMS. Lost his drive at the end of 2012, and has since been in rallies in his homeland, and is a driver coach and advisor. Before reaching America, David had a long spell of single-seater racing in his homeland; this included Mexican Formula 3000, Formula 3 and Formula Renault. Martinez also works as an engineering (he has an engineering degree) as a consultant, including on vehicle systems.
