Free spirit of a man who still lives in California. Involved in road safety programs in Nevada and still keeps some links with the sport. Dean was also a professional and international skiier before his racing career, and in particular specialised in professional speed skiing. Hall decided to switch to racing and raced in New Zealand, winning the 1989 New Zealand Grand Prix and also won the 1989 Formula Pacific title and the 1988 West Coast Formula Atlantic title. Hall still skis, both on snow and on water, but also likes mountain biking.
