Now lives, retired, in Dorset. Former Brabham draughtsman who also worked as an engineer for McLaren and Lotus, as well as designing a few Formula 1 cars in the late 1970's. Ferris also won two coveted Louis Schwitzer awards for his racing car design work in 1980 and 1982 for the Penske PC9 car and the Penske PC10. Ferris also designed the Brabham BT43 that raced in Formula 5000, as well as a number of Brabham Formula 2 cars, and then also worked with Roger Penske again with his Indianapolis 500 efforts.
