Son of Bobby, who moved into Champ Car in 2007 and then to the remerged IRL series in 2008. Still there in 2024, still with his father's team. Also of Lebanese ancestry and represented them in the A1 GP series. Started racing as a teenager in Formula Atlantic, Star Mazda and Indy Pro and made his Indianapolis 500 debut whilst still in his teens. Also runs the Graham Rahal Foundation which helps support a number of different charities, including a childhood cancer charity. Graham's grandfather Mike and great-uncle, Ed, both raced as well. Rahal set up a MotoAmerica motorcycling team in 2024 in conjunction with his racing.
