Very popular man who worked as technical director at many teams. He was working on both a Honda F1 project and as a technical journalist when he died of a heart-attack after a test session, aged only 55. Harvey gained a doctorate in mechanical engineering but initially joined ICI as a research scientist, despite being a big fan of racing. He joined March as a race engineer before starting his design career with Hesketh, where he helped James Hunt's career immensely. From there on there were many highs which included Wolf winning their first race, Ferrari winning the constructor championships in 1982 and 1983 and helping the fledging Sauber team do well in 1993. His name at birth was actually Postlewaite.
