Last raced in Formula Volkswagen in Germany, in 2001. Now works as a racing instructor, and still lives in his home town, where he plays tennis. Stromberger appeared at the Road America CART race in 1995, finishing 16th, and also attempted qualification at Mid-Ohio. But he had more success in the Formula Opel Lotus Euroseries. After progressing from German Formula Ford 1600, Hubert raced in the various Opel Lotus categories from 1992 to 1997. He came third in the 1993 German series, won the 1993 Nations Cup with his Austrian teammates and came second with them in the same competition one year later.
