A car owner and a race promoter. Real name John. Long-time based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he survived a serious crash at the 1916 Indianapolis 500, when he suffered head, jaw and abdominal injuries when he overturned his car. He returned to Indianapolis as an entrant in the 1920's, by which time he was working as the track manager at Rockingham Speedway, in Salem, New Hampshire, which he leased to have motor racing, after extending the track, in 1925 after it had been both a horse racing track and home of the State Fair. Racing there stopped in 1932, partly due to Fred Comer's death a few years back, and LeCain left his role.
