Ex British Formula 2 driver who had a long stab at F3000, but without much success and has not been involved with the sport since. Taylor took up the sport as a gentleman driver in the early 1990's, appearing in the Division 2 class of the Interserie series in 1992 in a Tiga GC289 Ford and came 3rd in his class championship. He also raced in the National class of the 1992 British Formula 3 series. in 1993, he raced in British Formula 2 and finished ahead of Enrico Bertaggia and Stephane Gregoire in the standings, which after another stab at Interserie, led Taylor to a long, albeit fractured, spell in International Formula 3000.
