USA based Englishman, who has worked his way through US feeder series to reach the IRL. Only found a part-time ride, so has switched his focus away from racing to go into team management, as he runs a kart team. In 2017, he also moved up to run a US Formula 4 team. Jay also works on driver development and is the main US distributor for Praga Karts. Jay started in British Formula Ford and Formula Renault, but made his switch to America in 2004 and is now based in Indianapolis, with his wife. In 2017, Howard made a slightly surprising return to the Indianapolis 500 after six years away from the event. In 2018, Jay was in the IMSA Prototype Challenge series. He continues to race but his main focus is his team and his driver development.
