Ran an aviation company, called Transvalair. Also keeps links with the sport, as he often appears (and very occasionally competes) at historics. Quit competitive racing in 1965 after an accident put him off and hit his financial backing. Later became a pilot for Asiana. Lives in Sion, and also builds models of every plane he ever flew.
