Elder brother of Marc, Jordi was set to race in F1 himself, in 1993 with Bravo, but the team was disbanded after the death of the founder. Went on to race in touring cars, winning his national title in 1996, then raced in truck and GT racing. Although more recently he has been in touring cars predominantly, in 2011, he moved into the GTOC series, but in 2012, he was back in touring cars, in Scandinavian touring cars. Also, with his brother Marc, he opened a kart circuit near their birthplace in 2013. Jordi is still racing, but his main role is now the karting circuit, however he does still race in Seat-linked series, having had a long association with the car manufacturer. He also does test and development work for them, including for their 2018 TCR Championship season. In 2021, when SEAT decided to enter the Pure Electric TCR series, Gene returned to full-time racing for the first time in four years and is also in the World Touring Car Cup. He stays in the former for 2022.
