Better known as a touring and sportscar driver, who won the 1973 Swiss Special Car Championship. Jorg raced in sportscars in the late 1970's and in every race (twenty-six of them), he competed in a Volkswagen Scirocco, mainly in tandem with either Willi Bergmeister or Anton Stocker. His disappointing Formula 2 spell saw him race a Gertsch Racing entered Brabham BT38 and a Schweizer Auto Rennsport entered March 742 BMW. In 1978, Jorg also finished as runner-up in the European Touring Car Championship in the VW Scirocco. Jorg worked for 21 years as a manager in a vending machine company and also helped his brother Erich with his garage. Siegrist now lives in a countryside home in Urswil and keeps fit with hill walking.
