Now back in Chile, and his home city of Santiago. Carbonell is now retired from driving after racing in rallies and off-road events and motorbike racing. Carbonell is now a driver manager, managing Victor Cornejo, who is currently in the Top Race V6 Series. Carbonell is one of Chile's most successful drivers who attempted to succeed in America in Barber Saab, Indy Lights and then the IRL, but it didn't really work out. Won the Chilean Formula 3 title in 2010. Carbonell also runs a car wash business in Santiago.
