McLaren F1 driver for 2023 after a good debut season in 2019 and an even better one in 2020 and 2021. A long-time protege of McLaren boss Zak Brown, Norris has had a swift but very successful rise up the racing ranks. In 2014, he won the KF Karting World Championship, before making his car debut in the Ginetta Junior Championship. In 2015, he took the MSA Formula Series crown but then followed that up in 2016 with three titles; the Toyota Racing Series, Formula Renault 2.0 NEC Series and the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Championship. In 2017, he joined McLaren as a junior driver, winning the FIA Formula 3 European Championship. Through his McLaren links he then drove in sportscars. In 2018, he raced in Formula 2. In 2016, he also won the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award. Lando is of Belgian ancestry on his mother's side of the family.
