Son of Michael, currently in the Indycar series with his dad's team, although from 2021 onwards, Marco decided to do only a part-time attempt, with some sportscar racing, appearances in the Superstars Racing Series and a bit more time to explore non-racing activities. In 2024, he is also doing NASCAR trucks and ARCA as well as single-seaters. Although having the famous surname helped, Marco was hugely successful in the Barber Formula Dodge Eastern and National Championships and also in Star Mazda, which helped his rapid rise to the IRL in 2006. Andretti then, at that time, became the youngest winner of a major open-wheel racing event. However, his expected title success hasn't come since. Has also raced in sportscars and A1 GP since his Indycar debut.
