Hugely successful in Australian touring cars, he was a top driver in the Australian V8 series, but retired in 2008. Recently awarded the Order of Australia Medal for his services to motorsport and the community. Away from the track, he is in television, involved in track safety and development of Holden cars, with whom he works as a racing director and chairman of the V8 Supercar commission.
