Died of a heart-attack. Crashed at Toledo on June 21st and complained of chest pains afterwards. Was later released and then went to race the next weekend but after qualifying, became ill again and died in hospital. Best remembered as a sprint car driver with a number of wins to his credit. Shaw's real name was Milton and he was father of five children. Shaw was very much a sprint car specialist, but he passed his Indianapolis 500 driver's test, but failed to qualify.
