Former Formula Renault 3.5 champion (2010), who also raced in GP2. After a spell in the Indycar series, Mikhail went into the European Le Mans Series, but in 2016, was back in the Indycar series full-time again, which he then remained in 2017. in 2018, he moved back to Europe, racing in the World Endurance Championship. Aleshin raced in Formula Renault 3.5 for some years, winning his first race in the series in 2007. He also raced in the short-lived Formula 2 Championship, A1GP, Superleague Formula and Blancpain, but his GP2 - and general - progress was hit by a lack of budget and also hand injuries sustained in a crash. He stopped driving as he was involved in a management role in driver coaching, development and projects for the SMP concern which focused on getting Russian drivers to the highest levels of motorsport possible, but he returned to racing in 2022 in endurance events. In 2023, he is concentrating on team management roles again, including in Italian and Middle Eastern F4.
