No relation of Dennis, but Nick is the great-grandson of Harvey, the tyre magnate and of Idabelle Smith, the composer and songwriter. Lives in Scottsdale, Arizona where he runs a motorsports public relations and promotion service. Also raced in Europe briefly, in both the EFDA Nations Cup and British Formula 2, back in 1990 and 1991. He then raced for some years in Indy Lights, with a best finish of sixth in the championship in 1994. He finished his career in karting, with his last race coming in 2006.
