Ebullient fellow, excellent bike racer. Raced until the early 1990's on bikes and cars but now retired and active on the historic reunion scene in South Africa. Also still involved in the property business and still restores and runs cars. Driver started his career as far back as 1953 on motorcycles, making it up to the ranks of World Championship 500cc racing five years on. Paddy moved into cars in 1963 and alternated between the two thereafter to various degrees of focus. Whilst Paddy was racing, he also ran an engine preparation business. Driver quit single-seaters in 1974 and then raced in touring cars for some years before spending a few years in off-road racing before retiring from full-time driving in 1984. He also ran a brick-making business with former South African Grand Prix promoter Alex Blignault.
