Paul was working for the McLaren Automotive MSO on their heritage F1 roadcar and the P1 GTR. Burgess started in F1 with Brabham, before switching to McLaren's North America BMW IMSA programme, before moving back to the UK, working in Formula 3000 with Bob Sparshott's team. Spells back in F1 with Coloni, Lotus, Andrea Moda and Tyrrell followed before Paul moved back to the US to join G-Force Indycar programme, where won the coveted Louis Schwitzer Award for his design work on the successful GF05 Indy 500-winning chassis. He then also worked in America for Red Bull Team Cheever and American Spirit, before moving back to the UK to work for GTR Composites, and then McLaren. He also worked at the Academy of Robotics as their chief designer in their production facility and is now chief development engineer for Pilgrim Motorsports.
