His father was a major transporter businessman and this led to the links and money that allowed Olsson to start racing. Although born in Sweden, Peter has been based in Britain for most of his life. After funding problems forced him to quit racing, he went to university and qualified in neuromusculoskeletal science, thus becoming a qualified chiropractor. He founded, and continues to run a wellness centre and lives in Ravensden, Bedfordshire.
