Successful lower formulae driver - he won the 1993 British Formula 2 Championship and also won four races in British Formula 3 between 1989 and 1992 - who had a tough time, thrown in the deep end with a Lotus team chronically short of money in 1994. He then raced in touring cars, Belgian Procars, minis and sportscars for some years afterwards, but is now retired from racing. Adams, for many years, worked as a sales manager for SEAT in Tournai, Belgium and then for Citroen in Valenciennes. He now works as a financial manager and advisor near Lille in France. Philippe also does track tests and lives in Wattrelos, France and is involved in an automobile museum in Leuze-en-Hainaut, Belgium.
