A nom de plume for Bertrand Marie Ponce Francois Raphael Lucigne, Prince de Faucigny-Lucinge et Coligny! His first wife, Princess Paule Murat, was also a distant relative of Napoleon; his second wife was Argentine. DeCystria grew up in a castle called Coat-an-Noz, which was owned by his family for over 70 years before he had to relinquish it in the same year he attempted Indianapolis. Prince was a regular driver for Bugatti and this led to his Indianapolis one-off when the team had a go. Through most of the early 1920's, he was normally a contender in Grand Prix events.
