Son of ex-Formula 5000 racer, Tony, Richard has had a varied career since Formula 3000. Raced in Japan for a few years before winning the British Rover Turbo Cup Series in 1996. Later moved into endurance and historic racing, the latter of which he is still competing in. He is also the boss of the Ginetta-Zytek endurance team and a few British Club racing sportscar (most notably the United Autosport team in the European Le Mans series) teams and is also involved in young driver training, which includes developing drivers in karts. His United Autosports banner also encompasses historic racing and classic racing car restoration and preparation.
