Another driver to go on from Formula 2 and compete in sportscars, he is still involved with the sport and appears at the odd historic event. He competed in sportscars throughout most of the 1970's, with all but two of his main races in Italy. He was a regular Osella driver, although occasionally in a Lotus and often drove with Ermanno Pettiti. His best result was winning at Varano in 1972, but he took a number of class wins too. Filannino also raced in hillclimbs and rallies.
