Rodolfo made his Indycar debut in 2015 after a career spent in Europe. Initially based in Britain, where he raced in Formula Renault 2.0 and British Formula 3, he then moved into GP2, where he spent four seasons in the category. After a spell as Marussia F1's test driver and then in the European Le Mans Series, Rodolfo then got his chance in America. After an enforced absence from the tracks in 2016, Gonzalez returned to racing, appearing in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Venezuela's financial meltdown meant funds for racing were no longer available to a host of drivers and so Rodolfo ran restaurant, mainly specialising in burgers, in Barcelona, called Otto's. He now works as a foreign exchange trader.
