Extremely versatile driver who finally retired in 2009, after a long time in sprint and dirt cars. He retired after being inaugurated into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame but made a brief comeback in 2020. For many years, he ran a campground and RV park in Pequot Lakes in Minnesota. Roger died peacefully in 2022. Rager started racing as a teenager in 1968 but stopped full-time racing in the early 1990's to spend time with his family before returning a few years later. Roger was also inducted in the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2005.
