Sprint car legend, 1973 USAC champion. Until his recent death, he attended many sprint events. He had a long racing career, but his day job was as a railroad car repairer and inspector. Rollie started racing in 1950 in stock cars, before moving onto supermodified cars. Beale retired in 1977 to become USAC's Sprint Car and Silver Crown Chief Steward, a role which held onto for many years afterwards. Two of Rollie's sons also raced sprint cars.
