Still living in Indianapolis, where he runs a number of businesses, including one which specialises in fireproof materials. Real name is Daniel. Son of Carl, former car owner. His company, which he still looks after, Nochar Inc. continues to develop and manufacture fire-proof or safety clothing for the hazardous waste industry, the fire fighting industry (in particular, wild land fires and forest fires), and produces numerous products for solidification of nuclear radiated waste. Spike has another company in Rushville that specialises totally on fire-proof equipment. Gehlhausen drove as a racing car driver from 1972 until 1988, starting in midget car racing and ending in Indycars.
