Sprint car ace who retired in the early 1990's. Now works, in Indiana, in the sheet metal business and as an engineer. Butler's early life was spent in many different towns and even countries as his father, who later sadly died in an accident, was a military pilot who spent a while in England. Butler eventually settled in Kokomo, Indiana where he also picked up the speed bug, initially in motorcycles and then in sprint cars, where he won three titles in a row in the mid-1980's, taking five national titles in all.
