Now returned to Finland, where he no longer races, but he is an occasional visitor to motor shows and major racing events in his homeland. Was involved with the family shoe factory concern, which has a huge empire in Finland, but after a few disputes, now runs his own shoe and boot design company, as well as producing and selling them. Has had a few tough years recently, including a problem with drink.
