Now runs a list broking and direct-marketing company, after initially working in publishing. Willy also enjoys playing golf and cycling. In more recent years, Braillard has been an organiser for the Televie rally in Belgium; this was arranged to raise money for research into cures for cancer and leukaemia, which has grown significantly. Willy started racing in 1967 in Belgian Formula Vee, before becoming an accomplished touring and sports car driver. Braillard became European Formula Vee 1300 Champion in 1970. He retired from racing in 1978, but still competes in vintage rallies. Braillard also worked for Fina as an oil sales representative and in the mail order industry. He is involved, still, in many business associations but also has a large role in the RACB, Belgium's motorsport governing body.
