Otherwise known as Hugh Bancroft III, one of the heirs to the Wall Street Journal fortune - his great-grandfather owned the company and was heavily involved in Dow Jones stock and assets. His daughter, Natalie is now a top business executive. Stays involved with the business world himself, but also designs and builds antique car replicas. As a racer, Bancroft appeared in the Players Challenge Series Formula B National Championship, US Formula Super Vee, British Formula Atlantic, Canadian Formula Atlantic (coming 3rd in the 1974 series), IMSA sportscar racing and the Shellsport International Series before his Formula 2 spell with Fred Opert racing.
