Ran the MDI Group engineering group until his death, the company being based in Luxembourg. An aeronautical and mechanical engineer, Guy was also an engine manufacturer. He developed a rotary distributor for light aeroplanes and has spent a lot of time working on a compressed air technology non-pollution engine. His F1 engine was revolutionary, but not successful - a Double V 12 cylinder engine. Negre also spent some time at Renault before starting his own business. Away from business, he was a jazz fan and a very able pianist.
